Rate: Starting at $30/hour
Location: Primarily remote, with some in-person meetings, workshops, circles, and community events
Schedule: Flexible - a successful candidate can generally set their own working hours

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and community-minded Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our growing work.
About the Role The Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support to Heart Work Consulting and help coordinate community programming, partnerships, workshops, and circles.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and values relationship-based and community-focused work.
Key Responsibilities The Administrative Assistant will support:
Developing, coordinating, and maintaining the community room/program calendar
Monitoring, organizing, and responding to email communication with community members, partners, and organizations
Creating posters, flyers, and promotional materials for groups, programs, workshops, circles, and community events
Supporting basic month-end financial reconciliation, including organizing receipts, invoices, expenses, and financial records
Providing administrative and logistical support for workshops, learning circles, community gatherings, and engagement sessions
Assisting with scheduling, registrations, participant communication, meeting coordination, and follow-up
Maintaining organized electronic files, documents, contact lists, and administrative records
Providing general administrative support as Heart Work Consulting’s projects and community partnerships continue to grow
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for someone who:
Is organized, dependable, responsive, and able to work independently
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Is comfortable communicating professionally and respectfully with community members, health care organizations, and community partners
Has basic computer and administrative skills, including email, calendars, document creation, and spreadsheets
Is comfortable creating simple, professional posters and promotional materials
Has basic knowledge of financial record keeping and reconciliation, or is willing to learn
Can manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Has a valid driver’s licence and the ability to attend in-person meetings, workshops, circles,
and events (may be out of the region at times).
Education or experience in business administration, office administration, administrative assistance, or a related field is considered an asset.
Previous experience working in health care, Indigenous health, community services, non-profit organizations, or community-based programming is also considered an asset.
