Pathways is a community-based organization that has supported adults across Waterloo Region and Wellington County for more than 25 years. We help adults build academic, digital, and workplace skills as they work toward employment, further education, secondary and post-secondary credentials, industry certifications, and new career opportunities.

About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Adult Educator | Learning & Career Coach to support adults as they strengthen academic, digital, and workplace skills while working toward educational, employment, and career goals.
The position is based primarily at our Guelph office, with occasional work at our Kitchener location.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with adults, is comfortable with technology, and brings experience from education, customer service, administration, employment services, training, or a related field.

Guelph, 650 Woodlawn Road West
Occasional work location:
Kitchener, 248 Stirling Avenue South
Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours
Hours: 35 hours per week
Work arrangement: In person
What You'll Do
- Deliver instruction in academic upgrading, digital skills, and workplace readiness.
- Support adults working toward educational, employment, training, and career goals.
- Teach practical computer skills using Microsoft 365 and other digital tools.
- Help learners prepare for exams.
- Support learners as they work toward secondary school completion, post-secondary diplomas and certificates, industry credentials, and recognized certifications.
- Help learners identify skill gaps, overcome barriers, and connect learning to educational and career goals.
- Support the development of communication, customer service, organization, and other qualified workplace skills.
- Track learner progress and prepare clear, professional reports.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners.

- Hold a bachelor's degree in education, training, business, social services, mathematics, science, humanities, or a related discipline.
- Have experience working with adults in education, training, customer service, employment services, administration, community programs, or a similar environment.
- Enjoy helping people build confidence, strengthen skills, and achieve meaningful goals.
- Are comfortable using technology, learning new software, and helping others build confidence using digital tools.
- Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
- Are organized, reliable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Can prepare accurate, professional documentation and reports.
- Bring a positive, respectful, and learner-centred approach to your work.
Additional Assets
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or facilitating adult learning.
- Experience in customer service, office administration, employment services, workforce development, or community education.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, QuickBooks, Sage, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting individuals preparing for exams, earning diplomas, certificates, industry credentials, professional certifications, or pursuing career transitions.
- Experience supporting adult learners who are upgrading skills, returning to school, changing careers, or preparing for employment after a period away from the workforce.
You do not need to be an expert in every software program listed. We value curiosity, adaptability, a willingness to learn, and confidence helping others use technology.

Compensation and Benefits
$23.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience.
