We are seeking:
1. Youth Coordinator
· Plan and implement activities that are age suitable for the youth initiative programs portion of the Afterschool and Evening Programs
· Provide supervision, enforce club rules, and ensure the safety of all members
· To adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations, of the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s
· To use disciplinary strategies appropriately and to be consistent when dealing with behavior related incidents. Administer consequences and notify the Program Manager, other staff and parents of the behavior and consequence.
· Direct parent and public inquiries to the appropriate Club staff
· Responsible for supporting, supervising and directing volunteers assigned to your program
· To act as a role model, and to be sensitive to the needs of the participants.
· To set a positive example by being enthusiastic, energetic and professional when implementing activities, dealing with parents and members, and representing the Boys & Girls Club in public.
· Develop healthy and positive relationships with all the Club’s members
· Assist and support any decoration, promotional materials, and fundraising projects as requested by the Program Manager.
· Establish goals and objectives for the program in accordance with the Mission and Core Values of the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s
· Develop and initiate outreach strategies to recruit new members.
· Develop and implement programs based on the guidelines in program manuals, meeting all goals specified by the program
· Ensure the programs promote fun, cooperation, leadership, and empowerment, while fosters the concept of healthy living and confidence.
· Keep all equipment in good working order and make sure all equipment is safe for all members to use, and report necessary maintenance to Program Manager
· Maintain an inventory of all program material in the Club’s possession, request new materials when required, and purchase material during scheduled time.
· Instruct, interact,
and participate with members involved in youth programming
· Maintain discipline and cooperation at all times, while motivating and challenging those participants.
· Ensure activities are prepared prior to the start time during preparation hours, and all areas are free of hazards
Perform the following administrative tasks:
- Prepare weekly/monthly activity schedules
- Complete required reports (weekly report, incident report, etc.,)
- Attend staff training and staff meetings.
- Maintain attendance records
· To perform additional duties, as requested. 2. Health & Wellness Coordinator.

· Provide supervision, enforce club rules, and ensure the safety of all the members
· To adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. John’s
· To use disciplinary strategies appropriately and to be consistent when dealing with behavior related incidents. Administer consequences and notify the Program Managerr, other staff, and parents of the behavior and consequence.

· Develop and maintain sports leagues and tournaments. Collect and maintain the statistics on these leagues and tournaments (registered, areas of growth, participation, etc.)
· Ensure that the program promotes fun, fair play and cooperation in a safe and non-threatening environment. Also, to foster the concept of active living and benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

· Maintain discipline and cooperation at all times, while motivating and challenging those participants in the Health & Wellness Program.
· Instruct, interact and participate with members in the health & wellness activities
· Prepare daily snacks, maintain snack inventory and order snack supplies for the Snack Program
Perform the following administrative tasks:

- Prepare a monthly snack schedule
- Complete required reports (weekly report, incident report, checklists etc.,)
- Attend staff training and staff meetings.
- Maintain attendance records
· To perform additional duties related to the Health and Wellness Program, as requested. Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
