Henderson’s Meats is looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team as a Kill Floor Worker / Meat Processing Labourer.

This is a hands-on position working in our provincially licensed abattoir. The successful applicant must be comfortable working around livestock and participating in the slaughter and dressing process.

Main Duties

- Assist with livestock slaughter and dressing
- Skinning, evisceration and carcass preparation
- Handling and moving carcasses and meat products
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
- Following food safety, animal welfare and workplace safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to keep production running safely and efficiently
- Other meat-processing and general labour duties as required

What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and able to arrive on time
- Physically capable of repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a meat-processing/slaughter environment
- Able to work safely with knives and processing equipment
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Able to work well as part of a team




- Previous slaughterhouse, farm, butcher or meat-processing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person

Location: Chesterville, Ontario Schedule: Primarily Monday and Thursdays from 7h00 to 3h00pm
