Aurora

Position: Full-Time/Part-Time Automotive Technician Apprentice

Location: Aurora, Ontario

Compensation: Hourly Pay — Not Flat Rate

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice, ideally at Level 2–3, to join our team.

We are looking for someone who already has hands-on automotive experience and wants to continue developing their skills in a professional, clean and respectful shop environment.

The right candidate should be comfortable with regular maintenance work, willing to learn, able to take direction, and understand that every job—whether it is an oil change or a larger repair—must be completed carefully and responsibly.

THE ROLE

Depending on your experience and skill level, your responsibilities may include:

- Oil and filter changes.
- Tire changes, seasonal tire services and tire inspections.
- Brake inspections and basic brake service.
- General vehicle maintenance.
- Basic mechanical inspections.
- Fluid checks and services.
- Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Assisting licensed technicians with repairs and diagnostics.
- Performing assigned repairs and maintenance under appropriate supervision.
- Properly using automotive tools and shop equipment.
- Keeping your work area and tools clean and organized.
- Learning and following proper shop procedures.
- Communicating any concerns or unexpected findings to the licensed technician or supervisor.

As your skills and experience develop, you will be given opportunities to take on more responsibility. SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY

Being an apprentice does not mean safety is someone else's responsibility.

Customers trust us with vehicles that transport them, their families and other people on the road. Even a routine maintenance job can create a serious safety issue if it is performed incorrectly or something important is overlooked.

We expect our apprentices to:

- Follow instructions and proper repair procedures.

- Ask questions when they are unsure rather than guessing.
- Inspect parts before installing them to confirm they are correct.
- Double-check their work.
- Report damaged, incorrect or questionable parts before installation.
- Bring safety concerns or unexpected findings to the attention of the appropriate technician.
- Complete required checks before considering a job finished.
- Never knowingly send a vehicle out with an unresolved safety concern.
- Work efficiently while maintaining proper workmanship and safety.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.

You are here to learn, but you are also part of a professional team. We expect you to take your responsibilities seriously and to continuously improve your skills. REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate must:

- Be an Automotive Technician Apprentice, preferably Level 2–3.
- Have previous hands-on automotive shop experience.
- Have experience with basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire service and general vehicle maintenance.
- Be willing and able to learn from licensed and experienced technicians.
- Have a valid Ontario G driver's licence.
- Have a clean driving record and be willing to provide a driver's abstract.
- Have their own toolbox and sufficient basic tools to perform regular maintenance work.
- Currently reside in Ontario.
- Live close enough to the shop to be able to reliably and comfortably commute.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Be willing to stay late when necessary to properly finish a customer's vehicle.
- Be available to work certain Saturdays when required,

particularly during our busy season.
- Be respectful toward customers and coworkers.
- Be a team player.
- Keep the shop and work area clean and organized.
- Be willing to accept direction and constructive feedback.
- Be eager to learn and develop their automotive skills.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Hourly pay — not flat-rate/flat-book pay.
- Fully climate-controlled facility — comfortable working temperatures year-round, keeping the shop cooler in the summer and warm in the winter.
- Clean, organized and skilled work environment.
- Friendly and respectful workplace.
- Supportive, team-oriented environment.
- Opportunities for career growth and advancement.
- Ongoing learning and skill-development opportunities.
- Hands-on experience working alongside experienced automotive technicians.
- Opportunities to gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
- A workplace where safety, cleanliness, teamwork, customer service and accountability are taken seriously.

GROW WITH US We are looking for an apprentice who wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry, not simply someone looking for temporary work.

If you are dependable, punctual, willing to learn, take pride in keeping your work clean, and understand the responsibility involved in working on customers' vehicles, we want to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and include your apprenticeship level, automotive experience and the types of work you are comfortable performing independently.
