Behaviour Interventionist (BI)Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Interventionist and make a meaningful difference in the life of a child with developmental and behavioural needs. You will work directly with the child to implement individualized behaviour intervention programs, support communication and daily living skills, and promote independence and positive social interactions.

The family has a Vietnamese background, so Vietnamese-speaking candidates are preferred. We are looking for someone who is respectful, culturally sensitive, and comfortable working collaboratively with the child and family while respecting their language, values, and cultural practices.

A BCBA is part of the clinical team and will provide ongoing supervision, training, and support to ensure programs are implemented consistently and effectively.

Duties

- Implement individualized, evidence-based behaviour intervention programs under BCBA supervision
- Support communication, social skills, play, daily living skills, and independence
- Assist with toilet training and other adaptive skill development as appropriate
- Collect accurate data on program targets and behaviour
- Follow behaviour intervention plans and teaching procedures consistently
- Build a positive, trusting relationship with the child and family
- Communicate regularly with the BCBA and family regarding progress and concerns
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings as needed
- Maintain professional session notes and documentation
- Provide a safe, supportive,



and engaging environment for the child
- Respect the family’s Vietnamese language, culture, values, and home environment

Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, particularly children with developmental disabilities or autism, is preferred
- Experience in ABA or behavioural intervention is an asset
- Strong communication, reliability, patience, and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a home-based setting
- Able to follow individualized programs and collect data accurately
- Vietnamese-speaking is preferred
- Demonstrates cultural awareness and respect when working with families from diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to receive ongoing supervision and feedback from a BCBA

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable BI who can become a positive part of the child’s support team and build a strong relationship with both the child and family. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 8.0 per week
