Job Summary
Living Edge Design is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker’s Apprentice to join our skilled team of craftspeople in Squamish, BC. In this position, you’ll hone your woodworking skills and train with some of the best craftspeople in the Sea-to-Sky area. Working in a small team, you’ll have the prospect to work across all areas of a custom cabinetry and millwork project, including CNC & Edge Banding Operations, construction of cabinets, fine furniture building, millwork installation, and logistics.
Working alongside our enthusiastic design, project management, and shop team, you’ll help Living Edge Design maintain its reputation of being the Sea to Sky Corridor’s premier high-end millwork company.

Necessary Qualifications
- Completion of at least one year of cabinetmaking (or equivalent) education, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience using common woodworking/construction tools, including drills/drivers, hand saws, hammers/mallets, table saw, tape measures etc.
- Strong communication, teamworking and interpersonal skills.
- Fast learner and eagerness to learn new skills & techniques.
- A keen eye for detail, and a commitment to creating high-quality millwork.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for finding creative solutions to challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Residence in Squamish, or ability to commute to work.
Helpful Skills Proficiency in any or all aspects of an architectural millwork project:
- Using Sketchup, Mozaik, and/or other CAD/Design software.
- Familiarity with project management softwares, such as Jobman or Monday.com.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings, and building products to spec.
- Generating Cutlists.
- Programming and Operating CNC Machine.
- Fabrication and Installation.
- Materials Management.
