Utopia Cafe Play is a family-friendly space where parents can unwind with quality coffee while their children enjoy safe and engaging play areas. We’re seeking a dedicated and energetic Cafe Host to join our team, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Greeting

- Welcome guests warmly and provide information about the café and play areas.
- Explain play area rules, café offerings, and answer any questions.
- Enforce all café policies consistently and professionally to ensure a safe, respectful, and well‑run environment.

Coffee & Beverage Preparation

- Craft high-quality espresso-based and tea beverages.
- Follow café recipes to maintain consistency in flavors.
- Maintain coffee equipment and monitor ingredient stock levels.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with all legal and safety requirements.
- Prepare and serve desserts, smoothies, and other café menu items.

Customer Service & Assistance

- Assist guests with dietary requests and provide information on menu items.
- Ensure guests have a comfortable experience and address concerns professionally.
- Have high problem solving skills.

Event Support

- Support event operations by setting up, organizing, and post-event cleanup.
- Provide attentive, guest‑focused service during events, ensuring families receive timely support with meals, beverages, and overall experience.

Handling Orders & Payments

- Process orders, payments, and ensure special dietary requests are communicated.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently with attention to detail.

Play Area Safety & Management

- Maintain a clean, organized,



and welcoming café space.
- Supervise entry and exit to ensure only eligible children enter.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized space for families.
- Monitor and clean the children’s play area to ensure safety and sanitation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to hygiene incidents in the kids’ area, including cleaning and sanitizing when accidents occur.

Operational Support

- Assist with food ordering by communicating needs, shortages, and product usage to the management team.
- Support inventory processes, including restocking, rotation, and maintaining accurate counts.
- Follow waste‑management procedures, including sorting, disposal, and minimizing waste to maintain a clean and sustainable setting.
- Perform routine cleaning of the café bar, tables, floors, and all areas of the children’s play space to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
