About North Bay Cardiology
North Bay Cardiology is a growing outpatient cardiovascular practice committed to providing high-quality cardiac care close to home for patients throughout North Bay and Northeastern Ontario. Our clinic has expanded significantly since opening and provides a broad range of cardiovascular diagnostic and clinical services, including echocardiography, exercise stress testing, cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), ECG and ambulatory rhythm monitoring.
We also operate the North Bay Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, a comprehensive multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation program developed in collaboration with the University Health Network (UHN) Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. The program combines supervised exercise, cardiovascular risk-factor management, patient education, dietary support and psychosocial care, with CPET used to help assess functional capacity and guide individualized exercise prescription.
Our team includes cardiology, internal medicine, nursing, cardiovascular technology, cardiac sonography, nurse practitioner support, registered kinesiology, dietetics, administration and other allied health professionals. We are continuing to grow our clinical, diagnostic and cardiac rehabilitation programs to meet the significant cardiovascular needs of patients across the region.
We aim to provide a supportive, collaborative and professional working environment where team members are encouraged to develop their skills, contribute ideas and take an active role in improving how cardiovascular care is delivered. We place a strong emphasis on quality rather than simply volume, and we want our staff to have the time, equipment, training and physician support needed to do their jobs well.
For an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist, this is an opportunity to take on a meaningful role within a growing cardiovascular program. Your expertise in ambulatory rhythm monitoring, exercise testing and cardiovascular diagnostics will be highly valued and relied upon. You will work closely with the cardiologist and the rest of the clinical team and will have opportunities to expand your skills, including training in CPET and involvement in cardiac rehabilitation.
North Bay Cardiology also serves an important community role. Access to specialized cardiovascular services can be challenging in Northern Ontario, and expanding services locally allows more patients to receive testing, treatment and rehabilitation without travelling long distances to larger centres.
If you are looking for a position where your skills will be recognized, where you can know the people you work with, and where your work can have a tangible impact on cardiovascular care in the community, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
Critical Requirement – Holter Scanning Experience
Independent Holter scanning experience is an essential requirement for this position.
Candidates must have practical experience performing ambulatory ECG/Holter analysis and scanning using Northeast Monitoring software and must be able to independently review and analyze ambulatory recordings accurately and efficiently.
This means experience with the actual analysis and scanning of ambulatory ECG recordings—not simply Holter application/hook-up, downloading recordings, or basic rhythm recognition.
Candidates should be comfortable identifying, quantifying and documenting clinically important rhythm findings, including:
- Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter
- Supraventricular tachycardia
- Ventricular ectopy and ventricular tachycardia
- Bradyarrhythmias, pauses and conduction abnormalities
- PAC and PVC burden
- Symptom/rhythm correlation
- Artifact and limitations of ambulatory recordings
- Clinically significant findings requiring timely physician notification
Experience with Northeast Monitoring Holter software is required.
Applicants without independent Holter scanning experience using Northeast Monitoring software will not meet the essential qualifications for this position.

- Recognition of ECG abnormalities and appropriate escalation to the supervising physician
- Supporting exercise testing within our cardiac rehabilitation program
Previous exercise stress testing experience is strongly preferred.
