We are seeking an experienced and dependable Carpenter to join our team at the WillScot yard in Acheson. This position involves the installation, modification, renovation, maintenance, and dismantling of modular trailer complexes.

This role offers a variety of work, including yard-based renovations as well as opportunities to travel outside the Edmonton area for modular installations and dismantles.

Schedule & Travel

We offer adaptable scheduling options depending on the employee and project requirements, including:

- Monday–Friday schedules
- 14 days on / 14 days off
- 21 days on / 7 days off
- 14 days on / 7 days off
- Other rotations may be considered depending on employee preference and project requirements
- Workdays may consist of 9.5-hour or 12-hour shifts, depending on the project
- Housing/accommodations will be provided for employees working at locations that are not within a reasonable daily driving distance
- Opportunities are available to travel and work on installations and dismantles outside the Edmonton area

Key Responsibilities Modular Installation & Dismantling
- Assist with mobilization and setup of modular trailer complexes
- Perform structural tie-ins, interior finishing, trim, doors, and hardware installation
- Assist with dismantling and demobilization of modular complexes for relocation
- Ensure modular units are level, secure, weather-tight, and fully functional

Renovations & Modifications
- Complete interior and exterior renovations
- Frame and paint walls and install drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
- Modify layouts and structures according to project requirements




- Perform repairs and upgrades to existing modular buildings

Site Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance
- Address structural, cosmetic, and functionality issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
- Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements

Qualifications
- 2+ years of carpentry experience; modular or commercial construction experience is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Willing and able to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
- Valid driver's licence required

- Drywall and flooring installation
- Modular installation and dismantling
- Experience working as part of an installation crew
- Knowledge of construction and job-site safety standards

Pay: $39.00-$51.00 per hour
