Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a courteous and professional manner
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity, including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas
- Upsell convenience items, snacks, beverages, or promotional products to enhance customer experience
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and friendly phone etiquette
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are appealing and well-organized

Qualifications and requirements





- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customers
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and processing transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems or familiarity is an asset but training will be provided
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs (for restocking inventory).
- Flexibility to work various shifts (mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays).
