Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items ensuring quality, presentation, and food safety standards are met consistently
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, including Micros POS, accurately processing customer transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries, taking orders, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food handling regulations and sanitation protocols
- Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures are followed to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Experience using POS systems, particularly for order processing is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order calculations, and balancing registers
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
