Position Summary The Laboratory department is currently looking for a Permanent Full time Medical Laboratory Technologist, Division Charge Chemistry, to join their healthcare team.
This position is responsible to the Integrated Director Laboratory Services for the day to day operation of one or more of the following divisions - Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank), Phlebotomy/ECG, and/or combination of any of the above. Participates in the administrative functions of the division(s). Directs and monitors the functions of the division(s). Participates in a regular pattern of technological bench duties.

Essential Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science
- Proven record of continued education with a focus in chemistry
- Minimum five (5) years recent core laboratory experience
- Recent and relevant supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staffs, patients, and the public
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in related subject
- OLA/IQMH/CAP assessor training is an asset
Hours of Work Must be available to work days, evenings and night shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per OPSEU Collective Agreement.
