Experienced Class 1 Winch Truck Operator – Rig Moving Summit Oilfield Hauling Ltd. is hiring an experienced Class 1 Winch Truck Operator for oilfield hauling and rig moving operations in Alberta. Employee and subcontractor opportunities available. We are looking for an experienced oilfield operator who can be given a job and get it done safely with minimal direction. This is not an entry-level Class 1 position. Previous winch truck, rig moving, and off-road oilfield experience is required.

Requirements - Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence - Proven winch truck operating experience - Rig moving experience - Strong off-road oilfield driving experience - Experience hauling oversized and overweight loads - Must know how to properly secure loads - Strong knowledge of chains, binders/boomers, straps, blocking, and load securement - Must know how to chain up - Comfortable operating in mud, snow, ice, bush roads, leases, winter roads, and difficult off-road conditions - Must be able to work independently with minimal direction or supervision - Must be mechanically inclined - Ability to recognize and troubleshoot basic truck and equipment issues - Valuable understanding of weights, dimensions, permits, and transportation requirements - All required current oilfield safety tickets - Acceptable driver’s abstract - Strong safety attitude and good judgment - Reliable, professional,



and willing to work flexible hours when required Responsibilities - Safely operate a Class 1 winch truck - Move drilling rigs, service rigs, and associated oilfield equipment - Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment safely - Safely haul oversized and overweight loads - Ensure all loads are properly secured before transport - Chain up when road and weather conditions require it - Work independently in remote oilfield locations - Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections - Identify and report mechanical or safety issues - Complete required logbooks, permits, inspections, and transportation documentation - Maintain and take pride in company trucks and equipment - Follow all company, customer, provincial, and federal safety requirements Compensation & Schedule Pay: Based on experience Rotation: Negotiable Accommodations: May be provided for the right candidate Subcontractors: Qualified subcontractors are welcome to apply.
