LeverageTek is actively seeking a Cloud Architect for a 1-year permanent position with its Ottawa based customer.

Key Tasks

- Design and maintain enterprise-scale cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.
- Define cloud architecture standards, reference patterns, and best practices to support application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, and technology leaders to translate business requirements into cloud-based solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native services, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and integration platforms.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance frameworks, including security, compliance, policy management, resource organization, and operational controls.
- Develop and promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.
- Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated, and secure application delivery across environments.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development, platform engineering, and operations teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, services, and architectural patterns to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup,



and business continuity requirements are incorporated into cloud platform designs.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement secure-by-design principles, identity management, network security, and threat protection controls.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency through FinOps and operational excellence practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical assessments to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives by defining target-state architectures and migration strategies.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, roadmaps, diagrams, standards, and technical decision records to support ongoing platform governance.

Key Qualifications

- 3 Years with Azure services deployments & testing CI/CD.
- Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Service Bus).
- Hands-on experience executing tests within an active Azure Cloud Architecture.

Qualifications

- ALM & CI/CD: Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans), GitHub Actions
- Automation Frameworks
- API Testing Tools: Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI
- Database & Analytics: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL,



Advanced T-SQL queries
- Languages: C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in programming languages (C#, Python, or Java) and automation frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Assets

Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer.

Compensation

Based on qualifications and experience: 110,000$ - 120,000$ annually
