Overview
We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-precision components. Your mechanical knowledge, expertise in CNC programming, and familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and SolidWorks will be essential to ensure efficient production processes.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects while honing your skills in machining, blueprint reading, and lean manufacturing principles.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using various control systems such as Fanuc and Hass.
- Develop and modify CNC programs to meet specifications, utilizing CAD software like SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately produce parts.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by utilizing hand tools, power tools, and proper safety procedures.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to optimize performance.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience Programming and operating multi axis and mill/turn lathes with Mastercam.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or other CAD programs for part design and modification.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with machining tools including calipers, hand tools, power tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues promptly.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
