Insight Global is looking for a Computer Vision Sustainment & QA Specialist to support a leading agriculture and mining client on a 12-month contract with robust likelihood of extension. This role is based in Saskatchewan and will support advanced mining technology solutions focused on computer vision, live video streaming, automation systems, and operational technology (OT) environments.
The Computer Vision Sustainment & QA Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining production computer vision applications used within mining operations. This individual will work closely with developers, data scientists, operations teams, and business stakeholders to ensure vision-based systems remain reliable, properly tested, and operationally effective in production environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting computer vision or video analytics applications that utilize live video streams, cameras, or automated inspection technologies. This is not a hands-on development role; rather, it requires someone who can troubleshoot issues, coordinate testing efforts, validate releases, support production deployments, and act as the bridge between technical teams and operational users.
The successful candidate will understand how computer vision systems function in real-world environments while maintaining a strong focus on QA, sustainment, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience supporting software applications, computer vision systems, video analytics solutions, or automation platforms
- Experience working with live video streams, camera-based technologies, or video processing applications
- Experience performing QA, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support activities
- Understanding of computer vision concepts and workflows
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments
- Ability to work cross-functionally with software developers, data scientists, QA teams, and operational stakeholders
- Experience supporting applications in production and driving issue resolution
- Ability to read and understand code for troubleshooting purposes, without requiring deep software development expertise
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting computer vision solutions utilizing live video analytics
- Experience working with cameras, streaming technologies, RTSP feeds, or video processing systems
- Mining, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or automation industry experience
- Operational Technology (OT) network exposure
- Experience supporting robotics, machine vision, or automated inspection systems
- Experience with software integration testing and release validation
- Exposure to Python or software development environments
- Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science applications in production
- Experience working with sensors, industrial cameras, or edge computing technologies
- Experience working in site-based environments supporting operational systems
