Summary

We are seeking a skilled Slab Saw Operator to join our team in Calgary Alberta. This role is vital in ensuring precise cutting and preparation of materials for our construction projects, supporting our mission of quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

- Slab Sawing: Experience with Husqvarna slab saws required. Operate high-powered walk-behind saws to cut concrete and asphalt to exact depths and specifications.
- Concrete Core Drilling: Experience with Weka core drills required. Operate concrete coring equipment into concrete material such as concrete pipe, slabs, and walls.
- Site Preparation: Mark cutting lines, set up equipment, and ensure all necessary tools are loaded on the truck before departure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and minor repairs on saws, blades, and related machinery.
- Safety & Cleanup: Maintain a clean work area, manage slurry/debris, and strictly follow all PPE and hazard assessment protocols.

Work with project managers and crew members to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience with slab saws, core drills. Specifically with the Husqvarna FS5000D and with Weka core drills.
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (essential for travel between sites). 5-year abstract is required for hiring.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Precision: Robust mathematical skills for accurate measurements and the ability to interpret blueprints or technical drawings.
- Site Preparation: Mark cutting lines, set up equipment, and ensure all necessary tools are loaded on the truck before departure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and minor repairs on saws, blades, and related machinery.
- Safety & Cleanup: Maintain a clean work area, manage slurry/debris, and strictly follow all PPE and hazard assessment protocols.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers and crew members to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
