Job Title: Construction Labourer / Pipe Layer (Unionized)

We are currently hiring an experienced and dependable Construction Labourer / Pipe Layer to join our team in Grimsby, Ontario. The successful candidate will have 3–4 years of experience working on underground utility and civil construction projects in a unionized environment.
This position involves installing watermain, sewer, and storm piping systems while supporting various construction site operations and maintaining strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install underground watermain, sewer, and storm pipes
- Assist with excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling
- Read and follow site plans, grades, and utility drawings
- Work safely around heavy equipment and excavation sites
- Perform general construction labour duties as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow union, company, and health & safety regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently
Requirements
- 3–4 years of pipe laying and construction labour experience
- Experience in civil construction and underground utilities
- Previous unionized construction experience preferred
- Knowledge of trench safety and pipe installation procedures
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (G license preferred)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
