CONTINUING AND ADULT EDUCATION NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHER

ENG3C/4C and OLC3O/4O

Location: Virtual

Dates

Term 1 - September 21, 2026 - November 30, 2027

Term 2 - December 2, 2026 - February 24, 2027

Reports to: Kathy Archer, Learning Services Administrator

Salary: $49.92 (inclusive of holiday and vacation pay) as per Article 7.02

Note: Courses will only run if qualified teachers are available, and a minimum class size can be established.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Six hours of online instruction Monday and Wednesday between 6:30pm to 9:30pm, and three hours of facilitation weekly;
- Implement effective student assessment practices (e.g., descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment;
- Enhanced curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student; engagement and foster deeper learning; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Teacher in valuable standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; and
- Intermediate/senior qualifications required in the course subject area English
- A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Assets :

- Experience with Office 365 and Aspen;
- An understanding of effective learning teaching, assessment strategies, and differentiation;
- Excellent leadership,



communication, and organizational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- Knowledge of the board approved virtual learning environment (Brightspace or O365 Teams)

Job Requirements:

- Eligible to work in Canada Clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check
