Amberwood is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Custom Door Builder to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on shop position focused exclusively on building and assembling premium custom door systems. You will not be responsible for installation in the field.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience building custom doors, windows, millwork, cabinetry, or similar high-end wood or architectural products. You should be comfortable working with precision tools, reading shop drawings, assembling complex door systems, and taking pride in producing a finished product that meets exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and assemble custom door systems in Amberwood’s manufacturing facility.
- Work from shop drawings, production drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Perform accurate cutting, machining, routing, drilling, joinery, fitting, and assembly.
- Assemble door slabs, frames, panels, hardware components, and related system components.
- Prepare doors for glazing and specialty hardware as required.
- Work with wood, engineered materials, metal components, glass, and specialty security materials.
- Ensure doors are properly squared, aligned, fitted, and functioning correctly before leaving production.
- Perform detailed quality-control checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify and resolve fabrication, fitment, or assembly issues.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, woodworking machinery, and other production equipment safely and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing workspace.




- Work collaboratively with the production team to maintain quality and meet project deadlines.

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of hands-on experience building custom doors, windows, cabinetry, millwork, or other high-end architectural products.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, woodworking, joinery, and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to precision.
- Experienced and confident using hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Custom Door Builder who wants to develop their skills while working on some of the most distinctive custom doors manufactured in Toronto.

This position is focused exclusively on manufacturing and building door systems. Field installation is not part of this role.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
