We are currently seeking a compassionate, versatile, and supportive individual to join our supply list. Hours would be between 7:30 am and 5pm, with some flexibility.
Role Overview
This position is a supply position, to help cover staff while they are away. Experience is not needed but would be an added bonus. This candidate would be assisting wherever needed to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment. Must be flexible with hours as well as transportation as we have three locations within Stittsville, offering care to infants, toddlers and preschool age children.
Requirements:
- Current CPR/Standard First Aid certification
- Valid Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations (including TB test and COVID-19 vaccination)
- Able to work between the Hours of 7am-5pm
- Able to lift 20-40 pounds
- Able to work on site- This is not a remote job
Recommended Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
- Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH)
Considered an Asset:
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting
- Educational background in Early Childhood Education (RECE), Developmental Services Work (DSW), or other child-focused programs
