Job Requirements:

-Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station within the last 12 months

-Valid Ontario G2 or G driver's license

-Must provide Driver's Abstract

-Completed or currently pursuing a related education (D.S.W, C.Y.W or equivalent) in the area of intellectual disabilities

- Knowledge and experience providing specialized behavioural supports related to dual diagnosis, trauma-informed care, and verbal and physical escalation
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing NVCI (CPI) techniques
- Proven ability to implement and follow behaviour protocols with extensive data collection, while working with a multi-disciplinary team

-Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, email and Internet
- Experience in supporting people with developmental disabilities
- Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Training or Certificate an asset
- Anxiety Disorder Training or Certificate an asset
- Knowledge and experience with adaptive communication and American Sign Language an asset
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes an asset
