About the Role
We are seeking a Male Disability Support Worker to join our team at our Coville Group Home in Calgary.
In this role, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs to achieve their goals, build independence, and actively participate in their communities. You will work as part of a collaborative team, following individualized support plans and providing person-centered care in a group living environment. Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) will be provided if required.
Key Responsibilities Provide emotional, physical, behavioural, and community-based support
Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry
Support individuals during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
Follow individualized support plans and behavioural support strategies
Complete accurate and timely documentation
Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
Collaborate with families, guardians, healthcare professionals, and team members IMPORTANT NOTE
Due to the personal care and support needs of the individuals served in this home, this position is restricted to male applicants.
Schedule & Compensation
Permanent Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)
Schedule Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuesday to Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Compensation &
Benefits $21.19/hour starting wage
Mileage reimbursement at $0.50/km
Cost-shared health perks after 3 months
4% vacation pay plus 6 flex days following successful probation
Opportunities to pick up additional shifts at other NAS locations What We're Looking For
You are compassionate, patient, dependable, and committed to supporting people with disabilities. You have strong communication skills, remain calm under pressure, and consistently demonstrate a person-centered approach.
Minimum Requirements Certificate or Diploma in Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field (equivalencies considered)
Intermediate computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
Reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance
Comfortable supporting individuals with diverse disabilities and complex needs Preferred Qualifications One year of experience in the human services field
Experience working in a group home setting
Experience providing personal care
Experience supporting individuals with autism
Knowledge of CPI, de-escalation techniques, and positive behaviour supports
Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and related training Join Our Team
