Job Summary

We're looking for a dynamic Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our teams at True North Diner & The Esquire Restaurant, where your energetic support keeps our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help ensure a secure, hygienic, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities

- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision.
- Support the catering team during events by helping with setup, cleanup, and food handling as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and dining spaces to ensure health and safety compliance.




- Bypass or sort waste and recyclables efficiently to promote eco-friendly practices.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service hours to support smooth operations.
- Follow all food handling safety protocols and hygiene standards diligently.

Experience

- Prior experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, catering events, or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures is a plus.
- Previous roles involving food handling or serving contribute valuable skills for this position.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail is highly desirable.
