Job Details The City of St. Albert’s Community Services Department promotes the development of arts and cultural services throughout the community. The team connects to the community through the programming and operation of the Arden Theatre, the International Children’s Festival and St. Albert Children’s Theatre.

As the Drama Intern, you will provide support and assistance to our team of instructors that offer musical theatre programs and camps to youth aged 3 to 19 years. These programs and camps are offered by the Performing Arts branch of the City of St. Albert’s Community Services Department.

This position includes one week of planning followed by five weeks of drama camps.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in the performing arts is preferred.
- Experience working with youth is considered an asset.
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Preference will be given to students pursuing post-secondary education in Musical Theatre, Acting, Music, Education, or a related field.




- The following are considered assets: dance experience, experience working with youth of various ages, and significant experience in musical theatre.

Hours of Work

- 6 to 12 hours per week (primarily evenings and weekends, April to June and September to December).
- 15 to 30+ hours per week (primarily daytime hours, July to August).

Compensation The wage ranges from $17.99 - $21.91 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
