Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Bragg Creek. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, support children's developmental needs, and collaborate with families and colleagues to promote positive learning experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children’s lives while working in a vibrant outdoor-focused setting.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement engaging activities aligned with the FLIGHT curriculum that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or who have disabilities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members to ensure consistent care and educational support
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, and outdoor activities




- Utilize computer skills for documentation, communication, and program planning purposes

Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or similar environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and special education strategies
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse family needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation
- Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping and communication tools
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while maintaining a nurturing approach
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education are advantageous but not mandatory
