Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level Three certified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote learning through play and exploration while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.
Our center provides a holistic and evidence-based approach to address the complex needs of families experiencing trauma and substance abuse disorder while focusing on delivering outcomes and recovery-based care. Our approach emphasizes a multi-disciplinary, person-centered, and family-focused model to address the diverse needs of those seeking recovery in Saskatchewan. The wellness and safety of children is central to our approach and your contribution to our families as an Early Childhood Educator supports their positive development and growth.

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a protected, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Facilitate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom.
- Recognition of the value communities and cultures play in the growth and development of children, including Indigenous cultures in Saskatchewan.
- Experience and skill supporting mental health, substance abuse, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction would be an asset
Experience/Qualifications
- Two year diploma in early childhood education
- ECE certification Level 3
- CPR and First Aid
- Valid Class 5 License
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong English language verbal and writing skills
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children are essential qualities for success in this role.
