Role Description The Editorial Contributor role at The Elegant Brief is an online position.

The Editorial

Contributor will draft, revise, and refine written pieces such as poetry, short essays, and literary commentary for publication. Day-to-day responsibilities include pitching ideas, collaborating with editors, participating in editorial meetings, and aligning content with the publication’s thematic focus and quality standards. The role also involves supporting the review of submissions, providing constructive feedback to contributors, and helping shape the overall editorial voice of The Elegant Brief.

Qualifications

- Must be a law student, young legal professional, or an undergraduate or postgraduate student majoring in Law, Finance, English, Business, Criminology, Fashion, or a related discipline .




- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent command of the English language and a keen eye for grammar, style, and clarity.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research , synthesise information, and present ideas in a clear, engaging, and intellectually rigorous manner.
- Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail, with the ability to proofread, refine, and develop written content to a high standard.
- Genuine interest in the intersection of law, fashion, business, culture, and professional life .
- Ability to contribute thoughtfully within an editorial team, receive constructive feedback, and collaborate effectively with fellow contributors.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet agreed deadlines and manage multiple editorial assignments.
- Intellectual curiosity, discernment, and a willingness to develop an informed and distinctive editorial voice.
- Previous experience with student publications, legal writing, journalism, fashion writing, research, editorial work, or related activities is considered an asset.
