Role Description The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the design, testing, and documentation of electrical systems and components for automotive security products, including Avolta AutoGuard (AAG). Day-to-day tasks may include assisting in circuit design, performing basic simulations and calculations, building and testing prototypes, and recording test results for review by senior engineers. The intern will help troubleshoot electrical issues, contribute to design reviews, and prepare technical reports or diagrams that support project milestones.

This is an internship role based in Canada with a hybrid work arrangement,



combining on-site activities in lab and engineering environments with some work-from-home tasks such as documentation, analysis, and virtual meetings.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge and developing skills in Electrical Engineering, including Electricity principles and basic circuit theory.
- Ability to support Electrical Design tasks, such as schematic review, component selection, and prototype assembly.
- Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting test data, diagnosing technical issues, and proposing practical solutions.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, documenting work clearly, and participating in meetings.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma program in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage tasks both on-site and remotely.
- Familiarity with basic lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and standard engineering software is an asset.
- Interest in automotive systems, cybersecurity, or embedded electronics is beneficial.
