Precision Garage Door Service of Vancouver (formerly Precision Door and Gate Ltd) is currently seeking Entry Level Overhead Door/Gate Technician to support our team of experienced Service Technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and residential doors and gates.

This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on, mechanically inclined background looking to grow in the skilled trades. As a Entry Level Overhead Door/Gate Technician work closely with experienced technicians, assisting in all aspects of door and gate installation and service. While prior experience is a plus, this position is open to reliable, safety-conscious individuals willing to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist lead technicians in installing, servicing, and repairing overhead doors, gates, and associated hardware
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job sites
- Handle tools and materials safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Perform basic measurements and prepare hardware under supervision
- Follow instructions and company safety protocols at all times
- Support technicians in troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Help document work and track parts used
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and occasionally with clients

Requirements:





- Able to legally work in Canada
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the commercial and residential door service industry is a plus
- Knowledge of various door types, brands and hardware is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations involving fractions and reading a tape measure accurately for precise measurements and installations
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in operating power tools
- Participation in ongoing training

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
