Job Summary

InfraStruct Municipal Services is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Estimator / Project Coordinator to support the Services Division from opportunity review and pricing through project mobilization, delivery, and closeout. This role combines practical estimating with hands-on coordination for municipal infrastructure rehabilitation and trenchless construction work throughout British Columbia and Western Canada.

Working with operations, senior management, field crews, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, the successful candidate will prepare accurate estimates and proposals, coordinate project requirements, maintain cost and schedule information, and help ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.

This position is well suited to someone who understands construction, can move comfortably between tender documents and field requirements, and takes ownership of the details that turn a successful bid into a well-executed project.

Duties

- Develop comprehensive project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing, terms, and scope to secure the best value for our projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, cost analyses, and pricing strategies that reflect accurate market conditions.
- Manage project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly and keep projects on track.
- Utilize project management software to monitor progress, update schedules,



and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required:

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, Project Management, or a related discipline; equivalent related experience will be considered.
- Two to five years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a combined estimating and coordination role.
- Experience in municipal infrastructure, civil construction, utility construction, industrial services, or trenchless rehabilitation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, tender documents, and construction contracts.
- Practical knowledge of quantity takeoffs, pricing, procurement, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and familiarity with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced construction setting.

Preferred:

- Experience preparing municipal tenders, quotations, proposals, progress claims, and change order pricing.
- Experience with construction management, estimating, takeoff, or document control software.
- Familiarity with trenchless rehabilitation, chemical grouting, polymer injection, or manhole and chamber rehabilitation.
- NASSCO PACP/MACP certification or related industry training.
- Knowledge of municipal procurement and construction contract administration.
