We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, accurately assess vehicle needs, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport from the moment they arrive
- Listen carefully to customer concerns, accurately diagnose vehicle issues based on mechanical knowledge and communication with technicians
- Prepare detailed service estimates, explaining repairs and costs clearly to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that meet customer needs while enhancing dealership sales goals
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain comprehensive records of service orders, customer interactions, and vehicle history for future reference
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing loyalty
Experience
- Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive repair processes and technical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and trust
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and diagnostic tools is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
