HOOPP’s Co-op Program offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in our Investment Management division. With a dynamic team of over 70 investment professionals, you will have opportunities to meet and learn from people with different areas of expertise that employ a variety of investing approaches.
What you will do:
- Maintaining and improving databases
- Developing and testing analytics dashboards
- Conducting hedge fund strategy research and providing analyses to Portfolio Managers
- Detailed note taking and maintaining records in the CRM
- Use AI models to create agentic workflows and automate activities
- Documenting processes and automating activities where possible
- Collaborating with senior risk takers internally and externally to HOOPP
What you will bring:
- Demonstrate genuine intellectual curiosity
- Possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially spreadsheet formulas
- Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at university
- Have a keen interest in investment management, macroeconomics and quantitative analysis
- Have a keen interest in applying research and technology in the context of understanding financial markets.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Build relationships across investment management and other departments
- Work well in a dynamic, fast-moving team-based setting

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $26.00 to $40.00 The actual hourly rate offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
