Job Overview:
Climber's Rock is seeking a dedicated and energetic Facilities Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our Main Gym and Boardroom training facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing thorough cleaning and basic maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. Your proactive approach will contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and members.

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily routine cleaning duties across all areas of the facility, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
- Assist with deep cleaning projects (removing dust/chalk behind walls, on pipes, etc)
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure effective sanitation and cleanliness
- Help maintain accurate inventory of all cleaning and maintenance supplies, and inform management of any low stock items
- Conduct regular checks of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products as needed
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or report issues requiring specialized repair services
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any incidents or concerns promptly to management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cleaning or commercial cleaning roles required
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as industrial vacuums
- Knowledge and experience with power tools an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Positive physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts, with an ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Reliable transportation to and from work, access to a vehicle is required
- WHMIS certificate required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends, if required
