Position Summary
The Junior Facility Maintenance Technician will support the day-to-day operations of our facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and want to grow within the maintenance field in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems
· Support basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
· Monitor and respond to facility work orders and maintenance requests
· Ensure compliance with food safety and GMP standards during maintenance work
· Maintain clean and organized maintenance workspaces
· Assist with equipment inspections and documentation
· Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to minimize downtime
Qualifications & Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Previous maintenance or mechanical experience an asset, but not required
· Basic understanding of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow SOPs
· Ability to work in cold, wet, or noisy environments
· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks
· Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Conditions
This is a full time position located in a food production facility. The role may require work on rotating shifts or weekends, depending on production needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
