Family / Civil Litigation Associate Lawyer Templeman LLP is a full-service law firm with offices in Belleville and Kingston. We are a growth-oriented firm committed to delivering high-quality legal services while fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace for our lawyers and staff.

This opportunity is ideally suited for a new call or lawyer with approximately 1-2 years of experience who is looking to develop a rewarding practice in both Family Law and Civil Litigation.

Working closely with experienced lawyers, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, assume increasing responsibility, and build your advocacy and client management skills in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of family law and civil litigation matters, including:

Family Law Child and spousal support matters

Property and pension division

Adoption and child protection matters

Civil Litigation Commercial disputes

Insurance-related litigation

General civil litigation matters

Successful candidates will work alongside senior counsel on a variety of files, gaining valuable courtroom, negotiation, client service, and advocacy experience.





Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario A new call to the Ontario Bar or 1-2 years of legal practice experience, preferably with exposure to family law

Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including the ability to draft transparent, persuasive legal documents and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel

Sound judgment, professionalism, and a client-focused approach to legal service A demonstrated interest in family law, dispute resolution, and client advocacy

Proficiency with legal technology, document management systems, and standard office software
