This is a casual role, seeking someone we can call on for farmers markets, and specialty one-off markets which are very common in the fall months. We cannot guarantee a shift every week year round, but we expect a busy fall!

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their market experience
- Conduct product sampling and share detailed information about items to encourage sales
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vendor stalls and common areas throughout the market
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about special offers
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customers
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred, especially in food or merchandise environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks comfortably
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively
