Duties

- Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications, ensuring precise placement of sensors, control panels, and wiring.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, sensor malfunctions, or system failures using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret detailed schematics and blueprints to accurately wire and configure complex fire alarm components.
- Test system components such as sensors, control panels, power supplies, and notification devices to verify proper operation.
- Document all inspections, repairs, modifications,



and system updates thoroughly for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into the overall project.

Experience

- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems or in related construction or electrical fields.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to fire detection systems.
- Electrical experience with wiring low-voltage systems safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge of sensors, control panels, power supplies, and other fire alarm components.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools like drills; and testing equipment for system diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols.
- Prior experience working in construction environments or with low-voltage electrical systems is highly desirable.
