Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Direct traffic safely around construction zones using clear hand signals or flagging devices
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate movements
- Monitor work zones continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations
- Assist in setting up traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers before shifts begin
- Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to site supervisors




- Maintain a professional and alert presence at all times to uphold safety standards

Experience

- Prior experience in construction or traffic control is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of paving processes and construction site safety practices is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay focused in busy environments
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
