Wm. Green Roofing Ltd. - Flat Roofing Estimator

Wm. Green Roofing Ltd. has been providing professional roofing services to Guelph and surrounding areas since 1986. We specialize in both sloped and flat roofing, working on everything from residential projects to large industrial, commercial and institutional buildings.

We are currently looking to add a Flat Roofing Estimator to our team.

We are open to candidates with previous roofing or construction estimating experience, as well as recent graduates who have the right attitude and are eager to learn. Flat roofing or estimating experience would be considered a strong asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Flat Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for:

- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents




- Completing roof measurements and material takeoffs
- Preparing estimates for commercial, industrial and institutional flat roofing projects
- Attending site visits and assessing existing roof conditions
- Obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparing and submitting quotations and tender packages
- Communicating with customers, general contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Following up on quotations and potential projects
- Reviewing project scope and identifying potential issues before work begins
- Working with our production team to help ensure a smooth handoff from estimating to operations
- Developing a solid understanding of flat roofing systems, materials and installation methods
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

For a candidate without previous roofing experience, we will provide training and opportunities to spend time in the field learning our roofing systems and how projects are completed. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Flat roofing
- Roofing estimating
- Construction estimating
- Construction project coordination
- Commercial construction

Recent graduates from Construction Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology,



Construction Management, or a similar program are also encouraged to apply.

Additional assets include

- Experience reading construction drawings and specifications
- Experience completing quantity takeoffs
- Knowledge of commercial flat roofing systems
- Strong computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid G driver's licence
