Join Our Opening Team A brand-new Good Earth Coffeehouse is opening at VIVO for Healthier Generations on September 21, and we are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Foodistas to join our opening team.
At Good Earth, great coffee may be at the heart of our business, but great food is equally important. Our Foodistas help prepare the fresh, wholesome food our customers enjoy throughout the day.
Located inside VIVO, our new coffeehouse will serve a busy and diverse community of families, athletes, students, staff and visitors.
We offer flexible scheduling that can work around school and other commitments, making this a great opportunity for students, people looking for part-time work, or anyone interested in gaining experience in food preparation and café operations.

What You’ll Do
Prepare Good Earth’s fresh food offerings according to established recipes, portioning and presentation standards
Prepare sandwiches, salads, baked items and other menu products
Complete daily food preparation and production requirements
Maintain proper food rotation, labeling, storage and temperature controls
Follow food safety, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures
Maintain clean and organized food preparation, kitchen and storage areas
Monitor product levels and restock ingredients and supplies as required
Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies
Minimize food waste through accurate preparation, portion control and proper product rotation
Support the front counter and beverage team during busy periods when required
Assist customers and provide friendly, efficient service
Work collaboratively with Baristas and other team members to keep the coffeehouse operating efficiently
What We’re Looking For
Previous food preparation, kitchen, café, bakery or restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
Interest in fresh food preparation and presentation
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization and food safety
Ability to follow recipes and established preparation standards consistently
Good time-management skills and ability to prioritize production during busy periods
Friendly, positive and team-oriented attitude
Dependable and punctual
Ability to work independently when completing food production and preparation
Food safety certification is an asset; willingness to obtain certification may be required
Availability for a combination of weekday, evening and weekend shifts
Availability for training prior to our September 21 opening
Previous food-service experience is helpful, but we’ll train the right person on Positive Earth food preparation, product knowledge and service standards.
