Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization , is looking for a General Accountant for a 6-month contract with a very strong opportunity to convert to permanent .

This is a hands-on operational accounting role ideal for an Accountant/Financial Accountant with strong month-end experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support month-end close , including journal entries and accruals
- Prepare balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and analyze operational/production reporting
- Support inventory and production-related accounting
- Identify process improvements and assist with ad hoc accounting requests

What We're Looking For:

- 3+ years of hands-on month-end close experience
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including JEs, accruals and reconciliations




- Robust Excel and analytical skills
- Experience with operational/financial reporting
- Systems-savvy; JDE/JD Edwards experience is an asset
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working 5 days onsite in Caledon
