Precision Directional Drilling Inc. is seeking a General Construction Labourer to join our team. Experience with utilty installation, specifically service plowing is an asset.
The company is based out of Zurich, ON, with a report to address also in Wroxeter, ON but work area spans across Southwestern Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Operate all tools and heavy equipment required to install conduits/pipes in the ground independently and safely
- Ensure that all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored.
- Ensure all equipment is running as it should and report any maintenance/issues to the Maintenance Department
- Cleaning and maintenance of all heavy equipment and job site equipment.
- Load/unload and transport materials on trucks and trailers.
- Communicate effectively with the site foreman
- Complete all required payperwork daily
- Complete all duties safely and efficiently in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
- Follow all rules and regulations in accordance with the CVOR
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks such as digging coupling/daylighting pits
- Ability to work in confined areas
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment as a team member
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in a fast paced environment around excavators and other heavy equipment.
- Willingness to learn
- Posses a Valid Ontario Class G License with a clean record(Restricted A license preferred)
- Good time management skills with ability to prioritize work tasks in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience operating construction equipment is an asset
- Ability to follow instruction in both oral and written form from Management and complete requested tasks in a protected and efficient manner
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports and perform other administrative tasks such as filing paperwork or correspondence.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to $38.00 per hour
