We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

- Night Shift (10:50pm to 7:00am)
- Night shift has a $1.25 shift premium
- Day/Afternoon shift (rotating weekly between 6:50 AM – 3:00 PM and 2:50 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Afternoon shift has a $0.75 shift premium
- Pay increases to $20.25 at 3 months, $20.50 at 6 months and $21.00 after 1 year

Job Overview: As part of the Grissin Bon Production Team, the General Labourer position is responsible for performing packaging, material handling, clean-up, and other activities related to food processing. You are also responsible for production quality, food safety and health and safety on the production line.

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor

- Inspect and build pallets ensuring the edges are aligned and operate the pallet wrapper
- Ensure box date/lot code is correct and legible
- Stage finished pallets and label with correct pallet number
- Safely operate pump cart
- Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials throughout plant manually, or with powered equipment
- Ensure all job-related operations comply with Health & Safety, BRC, GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, and highest food safety standards
- Follow directions from Production Supervisor and HACCP Team Leader as required to implement any updates to our Food Safety Program
- Follow BRC, GMP procedures for the plant to meet company and regulatory standards
- Assist Line Leader with plant start-up/shut down and inform of any production issues
- Inspect product continuously to ensure conformity with quality and food safety standards
- Inspect product quality and packaging “in process” for quality defects
- Follow all prerequisite programs to ensure all food safety regulations are being met
- Fill in records as per company and regulatory standards
- Clear machine blockages and reset machine as instructed
- Ensure all production equipment are cleaned prior to start up




- Clean and sanitize machines, work areas and equipment
- Attend all Food Safety training meetings as required
- Assist with break relief
- On-the-job training provided

What you'll need to succeed:

- Experience as a General Labour within BRC, GMP regulated food & beverage, pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industry highly preferred
- Completion of secondary school
- HACCP standards experience/Certification preferred but not required
