We are seeking a skilled Granite and Quartz Polisher and Installer to join our team at Roll Stone Granite Countertops. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing granite countertops and installing them achieving a high-quality surface finish. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various tools and equipment used in polishing processes.
The Polisher plays a vital part in ensuring our products meet strict quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate polishing equipment and hand tools to smooth and finish surfaces of manufactured parts
- Inspect finished products for quality, defects, and surface imperfections
- Use power tools, hand tools, and abrasive materials to achieve desired surface finishes
- Follow safety protocols when handling heavy equipment, machinery, and materials
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Collaborate with assembly, machining, welding, and other manufacturing teams to meet production deadlines
- Assist in the setup and calibration of polishing machines as needed
- Ability to lift heavy countertops and be of assistance during the installation process
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools effectively
- Experience with machining, assembly, welding, or manufacturing processes is a plus
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is advantageous
- Warehouse experience or construction background can be beneficial for understanding material handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to power tools, heavy equipment operation, and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work with coworkers to install countertops without damaging the work area or the piece itself
