Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process customer transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service and quality standards are met
- Garnish food items professionally, enhancing visual appeal and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, upselling menu items, and ensuring a positive experience
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality or safety
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems, for quick and accurate transactions
- Excellent cash handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate change and transaction processing
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation techniques
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food industry operations is a plus but not required
