Duties

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across manufacturing sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops to enhance employee awareness, skills, and compliance with safety procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses thoroughly; document findings and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with management to establish safety goals, monitor key performance indicators, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training,



inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Stay current on evolving health and safety regulations; advise leadership on necessary updates or changes to policies.

Skills

- Proven experience in woodland environments with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff, conduct presentations, and facilitate safety meetings.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop engaging training programs focused on training & development principles that motivate employees to adopt safe practices.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Certifications such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or equivalent are highly desirable.
