Experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician

Finish Line Industries Inc. is a heavy-duty equipment company specializing in the sale, service, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician to join our team and work primarily in our workshop.

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated and experienced mechanic with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment and taking pride in completing high-quality repairs.

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Diagnose, service, maintain and repair heavy-duty equipment, including zoom booms, forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic systems
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components and systems using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect and test equipment to identify faults using mechanical, pneumatic and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and confirm that repairs meet manufacturer specifications
- Inspect equipment for safe and proper operation
- Maintain attachments and working tools according to manufacturer specifications
- Identify required parts and components for repairs
- Complete service, maintenance and inspection reports accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience





- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty equipment repair, service, troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Experience servicing equipment such as Carelift, Ingersoll, Omega, Terex and Skyjack Zoom Booms, or similar heavy-duty/material-handling equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Valuable working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Must possess a valid Ontario G driver's licence with a good driver's abstract
- Self-motivated, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Welding experience is considered an asset
