Gemco Fireplaces is looking for a Fireplace Start-Up & Final Crew Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for completing the final stages of fireplace installations, ensuring fireplaces are clean, properly finished, correctly set up, and ready for the homeowner.

This is a hands-on position that is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working with tools and mechanical equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Completing fireplace start-ups and final inspections
- Cleaning fireplaces and surrounding areas after installation
- Installing and arranging gas fireplace log sets, glass, media, and decorative components
- Installing various fireplace options and finishing accessories
- Checking fireplace operation and ensuring units are operating properly
- Setting up burners, logs, rocks, glass media, and other approved components according to manufacturer specifications
- Performing minor adjustments and troubleshooting when required
- Identifying installation issues or deficiencies and communicating them to the appropriate team
- Ensuring fireplaces are clean, presentable, and ready for the homeowner
- Working with gas fireplaces, electric fireplaces, and other hearth products
- Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle, tools, and work area
- Following manufacturer instructions, safety procedures, and applicable codes




- Providing professional service while working in customers' homes and on construction sites

No experience is required we are willing to train the right person!
